Stupid titles...not enough word spaces!

So it feels weird to submit a more "traditional drawing" after nearly four years of not doing so. :o *tilts head* I guess it's not that bad for a 3 hour drawing.

This was my Drawing for Non-Majors Art exam. I have no idea what I got on it, but my teacher thought poor Glorfindel was the cover for some Harlequin romance novel. Poor, poor Glorfindel.

Anyway, I decided to add a little color to my sketch using Photoshop, but I didn't want to lose the pencil lines. I tried to make it look more like a watercolor. :D The drawing itself, I consider unfinished.
:bulletblue: I'd like to do more work on the hands and feet/anatomy itself.
:bulletblue: I'd also like to address the background. :lmao: I'm not sure what's happening there.

The armor I based off a memory of the Second Age armor featured in the LOTR movies. The pose is based off of this fella here with my thanks:


But his armor wasn't elven enough for the sketch. I didn't have any other references with me at the time, so I fudged the elven armor.

I've been attempting to make fanart of Glorfindel FOR YEARS and finally got around to this. Not entirely satisfied, but it is what it is: a three hour drawing. Maybe someone will like it. :)

At first, when I looked at the drawing I thought that his legs were unproprtionally short... But then my eyes caught that pic and... I guess it's reasonable
Nice colouring tho... I like the dimmed down tones :]

Yeah, I had the same problem when I was drawing it. I kept measuring with my pencil and going " is that really right? ...really?" It might have had something to do with how the photo was taken, but I don't mind too much. :D I'm glad you like the coloring! :)

Well, when I encounter this kind of a problem... I tamper with it xD to make it look perfect. So all the "I know better than you" assholes like me wouldn't start wiseassin'.....

:lol: Yeah, well that's also kinda why it's a work in progress. I had less than three hours to draw it because it was an art exam. :D I normally take DAYS to do something like this, so it was my little mark of accomplishment. :giggle: And more often than not, the wiseasses usually tell me what I already know, so I don't mind.
